🚴 VOLUNTEERS WANTED – NORMANDY 2027 🚴

In June 2027, the Oxfordshire Veterans Group will embark on an incredible commemorative cycling mission from Abingdon to Pegasus Bridge. We will be following directly in the footsteps of the historic airborne troops led by Major John Howard — the very first Allied soldiers to land on D-Day.

Our goal is to honour their legacy and raise £5,000 for veterans' causes.

We are officially building the team to make this historic journey happen, and WE NEED YOU

 

📋 OPEN ROLES

Cyclists (Veterans & Serving Personnel) We are looking for 20 cyclists who have served (or are currently serving) in the Armed Forces to take on the challenge of riding 350 miles from Abingdon to Normandy and back! Even if you are not a rider yet, you have a year to train.

Support Staff (Open to Everyone!) You do not need a military background to join us! If you want to be part of something truly special, we need a dedicated crew for:

• Drivers & Logistics – Keeping the team moving safely

• Cooks & Catering – Fueling our riders

• Admin Support – The organized brains behind the mission

• General Volunteers – Helping hands for everything in between
